CSE RESULTS 2026 – The August 2026 Civil Service Exam Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) results (Professional and Subprofessional), including the complete list of passers and top 10 examinees, are released by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on or before October 12, 2026, sixty-four (64) days after the exams.
The CSC announced that 240,972 of the 268,468 registered applicants (89.76%) took the exam, including 220,395 examinees at the Professional Level and 20,577 at the Subprofessional Level.
The August 2026 CSE-PPT was conducted on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at testing centers nationwide. These were administered through the Civil Service Commission (CSC) regional offices in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Quezon and MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, CARAGA, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Meanwhile, the civil service exam in Region IV-A (Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal), the Cordillera Administrative Region (Baguio, La Trinidad, and Abra), and the National Capital Region (NCR) was suspended due to severe weather condition. According to the CSC, the suspension affected 67,255 registered applicants.

Release of Results
According to the CSC Calendar of Civil Service Examinations for 2026 and Examination Advisory No. 10, s. 2026, the results of the August 2026 Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) are scheduled for release on October 12, 2026.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) also confirmed on August 12, a few days after the examination, that the official list of passers is expected to be posted on the CSC website on or before October 12, 2026.
The target release date is 64 calendar days after the examination. However, the actual release may vary depending on the number of examinees and the time required to process and validate the examination results.
We advise examinees to monitor official CSC announcements and check the CSC website regularly beginning October 1, 2026 for any updates on the August 2026 CSE-PPT results.
How to access the August 2026 CSE-PPT results?
Once released, the official list of passers in the August 2026 CSE-PPT may be accessed through the results widget on the CSC website.
Examinees may also check their results through the CSC Examination Portal.
Note: The CSC emphasized that examination results, including the exact values of the ratings, are FINAL AND IRREVERSIBLE. The CSC does not allow the re-checking of test results for any type of civil service examination and does not apply mathematical rounding to decimal values in test results or ratings.
Coverage of Exams
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):
Professional Level (Prof) -170 items with a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Analytical Ability (word analogy and logical reasoning)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
Subprofessional Level (SubProf) - 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
General information items on the following for both levels:
- Philippine Constitution;
- Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713);
- Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and
- Environment Management and Protection
Passing Score
Examinees who obtain a rating of at least 80.00% in the August 2026 CSE-PPT will be considered civil service eligibles, provided they meet the education, experience, training, and other qualification requirements for the position they are applying for.
OCSERGS: Verification of Rating
Examinees, whether passers or non-passers, may verify their individual examination results and ratings through the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS).
The OCSERGS verification service is expected to be available through the CSC website by October 19, 2026 (Monday), or on the date indicated in the corresponding CSC issuance or advisory.
Previous Examinations
The Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) consistently draws hundreds of thousands of aspiring government employees nationwide. For reference, the following are the results of the three most recent examinations held before the August 2026 CSE-PPT:
March 2026 CSE-PPT: A total of 48,735 out of 307,747 examinees passed the examination, representing an overall passing rate of 15.84%. At the Professional Level, 45,177 out of 279,265 examinees passed, for a passing rate of 16.18%. At the Subprofessional Level, 3,558 out of 28,482 examinees passed, equivalent to a 12.49% passing rate. Jannah Arumpac Masbud of Region XII topped the Professional Level with a rating of 98.60%, while Ernesto Gabriel Valderrama Serrano of the National Capital Region (NCR) led the Subprofessional Level with a rating of 95.49%.
August 2025 CSE-PPT: A total of 50,096 out of 331,675 examinees passed the examination, or an overall passing rate of 15.10%. The Professional Level recorded 45,730 passers out of 302,028 examinees, resulting in a 15.14% passing rate. Meanwhile, 4,366 out of 29,647 examinees passed the Subprofessional Level, for a passing rate of 14.73%. Lauren Gillianne T. Closas of the NCR topped the Professional Level with a rating of 97.39%, while Marc Lesney D. Maddumba, also from the NCR, ranked first at the Subprofessional Level with a rating of 96.59%.
March 2025 CSE-PPT: Of the 318,977 examinees nationwide, 46,470 successfully passed the examination. At the Professional Level, 42,472 out of 287,250 examinees passed, equivalent to a 14.79% passing rate. At the Subprofessional Level, 3,998 out of 31,727 examinees passed, resulting in a 12.60% passing rate. Charina Mae P. Tigbayan of the NCR topped the Professional Level with a rating of 97.91%, while Gerald Son B. Borilla III, also from the NCR, ranked first at the Subprofessional Level with a rating of 97.19%.
For the August 2026 CS exam results, takers may expect of passing rate around 10-20%.

Certificate of Eligibility to Passers
Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.
Next Civil Service Exam
The next Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for both the Professional and Subprofessional levels is scheduled for March 14, 2027.
According to the CSC examination schedule, the application period will begin on November 2, 2026 and will remain open on a continuous basis until all available slots are filled or until otherwise announced by the CSC.
The CSC has set a target of 350,000 examination slots for the March 2027 CSE-PPT. The results are scheduled for release on May 11, 2027.
