Sedrick Barefield added 11 points, four rebounds, and five assists, while Zav Lucero nearly posted a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Calvin Oftana, who led Gilas with 31 points against Bahrain, finished with 12 points in the victory.
The Philippines raced to an 11-0 lead before Kazakhstan trimmed the deficit to 18-15 after the opening period, but Gilas responded with a 12-0 run in the second quarter to build a 50-37 halftime advantage.
Ahanmisi then caught fire from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter as Gilas pulled away for its first Asian Games victory.
