MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 the complete results of August 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Exam (MELE), including the top performing schools and performance of schools.
PRC conducted the licensure exam in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga on August 7, 8, and 9, 2026.

Previous Examinations
In the February 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE), the University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman topped the list of top-performing schools with a 100% passing rate, with all 64 examinees successfully passing the exam. Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)-Visayas ranked second with an 88.55% passing rate, as 116 out of 131 examinees passed.
For the August 2025 MELE, Batangas State University–Alangilan emerged as the top-performing school with an 83.27% passing rate, with 204 out of 245 examinees passing the examination. De La Salle University–Manila placed second with an 80.00% passing rate, as 60 out of 75 examinees successfully passed.
Meanwhile, in the February 2025 MELE, UP-Diliman led the top-performing schools with a 92.31% passing rate, with 48 out of 52 examinees passing the exam. Batangas State University–Alangilan ranked second with an 84.00% passing rate, as 105 out of 125 examinees successfully passed.
