PRC cancels May 2026 SPLE in Middle East; reschedules exam in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, March 27, 2026, that the May 2026 Special Licensure Examinations (SPLE) in the Middle East have been cancelled:

  • Bahrain
  • Al-Khobar, Jeddah, and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
  • Qatar
  • Kuwait
  • Abu Dhabi and Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
  • Israel

The cancellation is primarily for the safety and well-being of all involved, including examinees, PRC personnel, volunteers from testing centers, and staff from Philippine Embassies and/or Migrant Workers Offices.

Meanwhile, the May 2026 SPLE in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan has been rescheduled to May 29, 30, and 31, 2026 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

  • Environmental Planners
  • Master Plumbers
  • Mechanical Engineers
  • Medical Technologists
  • Midwives
  • Nurses
  • Physical Therapists
  • Professional Food Technologists
  • Professional Teachers
  • Psychologists
  • Psychometricians
  • Radiologic Technologists
  • Real Estate Appraisers
  • Registered Electrical Engineers
  • Registered Master Electricians
  • Respiratory Therapists
  • Sanitary Engineers
  • Social Workers
  • Veterinarians

Options for Affected Applicants

Applicants who have already submitted applications and paid fees through LERIS may:

  1. Use the same application for any of the next two consecutive SPLEs, or
  2. Transfer to the local licensure examination and use their application for any of the next two scheduled local exams.
