MANILA, Philippines – Barbie Imperial could hardly contain her emotions as she broke ground on her own house in Bicol, a dream years in the making.

The actress shared highlights of the ceremony and a peek at the home’s design, which will include a garden and pool area, on her Instagram page Tuesday, Jan. 20.

“MAY BAHAY NA AKO SA BICOL,” Imperial wrote, reflecting on her 10 years in the entertainment industry and the joy of providing a home for her mother and brother while finally securing one for herself.

She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters, saying, “Thank you to everyone who helped me achieve my dreams in life, especially ABS-CBN and my StarMagic family for all the projects they trusted me with.”

Imperial also acknowledged the personal sacrifices behind her achievement, citing sleepless nights, hard work, and moments of doubt that accompanied her journey.

Addressing a blind item questioning whether the money for her dream home came from her own sweat and tears or from a wealthy admirer, she firmly declared, “NO MAN helped me achieve this,” highlighting her independence and perseverance.

"Kung sino pa yung sarili mong kapwa Pinoy talaga hihila sayo pababa," she added.

Just last December, Imperial moved into her new residence in Metro Manila, marking another milestone in her life.

The actress also recently made headlines after her relationship with actor Richard Gutierrez was publicly confirmed.

In an exclusive interview, Gutierrez and Imperial spoke candidly about their relationship, emphasizing their preference for privacy while affirming their commitment to each other.

She clarified, “We weren’t hiding. We just chose to have a private relationship, because what people don’t know, they can’t ruin.”

For Imperial, the house in Bicol is more than just a structure; it stands as a testament to her self-reliance, resilience, and unwavering dedication to achieving her dreams.
