LIVE UPDATES: 2025 Bar Exam Results

MANILA, Philippines – The 2025 bar exam results are out today, January 7, 2026 after the special en banc session of the Supreme Court (SC). The live updates and link of the full list of passers, topnotchers, and top performing law schools are available here once released online.

As announced, 5,594 out of 11,420 (48.98%) passed the 2025 Bar Exam.

The announcement of the 2025 Bar Examination results is expected at 1:30 p.m. A livestream of the “Release of the Results of the 2025 Bar Examinations” is now available here for quick reference.

For those who want to witness on-site viewing of results, it will be available at the SC Courtyard until 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the oath-taking and roll-signing of the newly-passed lawyers will be held on February 6, 2026 (Friday).

Last month, the high court confirmed the exact date of Bar 2025 results. The Supreme Court said in a notice to bar candidates that they will release results today.

1:30 pm: Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier announced that oathtaking and roll-signing will be held at the Philippine Arena.

7:00 am: The livestream for the 2025 Bar Examination Results is now available and will go live around 1:00 p.m.

6:50 am: SC announced that the gates of the Main Building shall be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m only. All persons who will enter the SC Courtyard for the Results must be in proper and decent attire.

Visitors will likewise be subjected to a security inspection upon entering the premises. Non-compliance with these rules shall be sufficient reason to bar the violator’s entry into the SC Courtyard.

12:01 am: The exact time of releasing of results depends on the time the Supreme Court en banc finishes its deliberations and decoding of the results.

After the decoding, Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Chairperson of the 2025 Bar Examinations, will deliver a message and announce the results at the SC Courtyard.

In previous year, the high court said that the scores of individual Bar takers are sensitive personal information under the Data Privacy Act. Thus, they cannot be disclosed without the prior consent of the examinees.

Bar 2025 Overview

Supreme Court said that 11,425 takers completed the fifth digitalized and regionalized bar exams on September 7, 10, and 14, 2025 in 14 local testing centers nationwide.

The Supreme Court once again used a computer-based examination program that allows examinees to securely take a test using their own devices.

In the special en banc session today, 'decoding of bar exam results' will be done. Decoding is the process where the SC orders the Office of the Bar Confidant to open the sealed envelopes with the names of the candidates who successfully passed the exams.

The Philippine Bar Examination is the professional licensure examination for lawyers in the Philippines and the only professional exam not handled by PRC.

This prestigious exam is composed of the following subjects: Political and Public International Law (15%), Commercial and Taxation Laws (20%), Civil Law (20%), Labor Law and Social Legislation (10%), Criminal Law (10%) and Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises (25%).

This will be the third time that SC implemented shortened schedule of tests from the usual four-Sunday-schedule into three days instead.

In the 2024 bar exams, SC announced that 3,962 out of 10,490 (37.84%) hurdled the tests.
