MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in 8 areas across the country in January 2026.
These holidays mark local founding anniversaries, cultural celebrations, and historical events, giving residents well-deserved breaks to enjoy festivities.
Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed the proclamations on behalf of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation stated.
