MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced adjusted operating schedules for Metro Manila’s major train lines—MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2—in preparation for the expected increase in passengers during the 2025 Christmas holidays and New Year celebrations.

Commuters are advised to take note of the revised schedules to better plan their trips during the holiday period.

MRT-3 Holiday Schedule
The MRT-3 will implement a reduced schedule on December 24 and 31, and an adjusted schedule on December 25 and January 1.
December 24 and 31 (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)
- Last train from North Avenue: 7:45 PM
- Last train from Taft Avenue: 8:23 PM
December 25 and January 1 (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)
- First trip from North Avenue and Taft Avenue: 6:30 AM
- Last train from North Avenue: 10:30 PM
- Last train from Taft Avenue: 11:09 PM

LRT-1 Holiday Schedule
The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) will adjust operating hours on select dates to accommodate increased passenger demand during the holiday season.
December 24 (Christmas Eve)
- Last train from Dr. Santos Station: 8:00 PM
- Last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 8:15 PM
December 25 (Christmas Day)
- Last train from Dr. Santos Station: 10:15 PM
- Last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 10:30 PM
December 26 to December 30
Regular weekday, weekend, and holiday schedules will be followed.
December 31 (New Year’s Eve)
- Last train from Dr. Santos Station: 7:00 PM
- Last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 7:15 PM
January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day)
- Last train from Dr. Santos Station: 9:30 PM
- Last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 9:45 PM
Note: First train departures remain unchanged throughout the holidays: 4:30 AM on weekdays and 5:00 AM on weekends and holidays.

LRT-2 Holiday Schedule
LRT-2 will provide extended services on select days to accommodate late-night commuters and holiday shoppers.
December 25 (Christmas Day)
- Last train from Antipolo Station: 10:00 PM
- Last train from Recto Station: 10:30 PM
December 24 (Christmas Eve)
- Last train from Antipolo Station: 8:00 PM
- Last train from Recto Station: 8:30 PM
December 31 (New Year’s Eve)
- Last train from Antipolo Station: 7:00 PM
- Last train from Recto Station: 7:30 PM
Regular LRT-2 operations will resume on January 1.
