It is important to note that heavy rainfall, destructive winds, and storm surges may still occur in areas outside the projected landfall zone and even beyond the forecast confidence cone.

Uwan is expected to move generally westward within the next 24 hours before shifting to a west-northwestward track for the remainder of the forecast period.

Based on the current track forecast, Uwan is anticipated to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight or early tomorrow morning (08 November).

The tropical cyclone is forecast to make landfall over the southern portion of Isabela or the northern portion of Aurora late Sunday evening (November 9) or early Monday morning (November 10).

After landfall, Uwan will cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and is likely to emerge over the West Philippine Sea by Monday morning or afternoon.

In terms of intensity, Uwan is projected to rapidly intensify and may reach typhoon category within the next 24 hours, with the potential to further develop into a super typhoon by tomorrow evening or Sunday morning.
