Earlier, PAGASA reported that Uwan was expected to make landfall along the Aurora coastline — anywhere from Baler to Casiguran — at or near its peak intensity as a super typhoon or upper-limit typhoon, either late Sunday or early Monday, November 10.
Expected Track and Intensity
After landfall, Uwan will cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon, weakening gradually but remaining within the typhoon category. It is expected to emerge over the Lingayen Gulf or the coastal waters of Pangasinan or La Union by Monday morning.
By Tuesday, November 11, the typhoon is forecast to move northwestward to northward, maintaining its strength.
