Eight UAAP-member schools battle to win the hearts of judges and viewers. The top three (3) cheerdance teams will be named as podium finishers at the end of the competition.

Reigning UAAP Cheerdance Competition champion, the National University (NU) Pep Squad, is aiming not only for a back-to-back title but also to secure a record-breaking ninth crown. A dominant force over the past decade, the squad is set to perform sixth in the lineup—a first in the event’s history, as the league has adopted the hosting order as the basis for the competition order.

All eyes will be on NU as they showcase their signature “ninja” moves under second-year head coach Gab Bacajan. The squad aims to surpass the storied UP Varsity Pep Squad and the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe to become the most successful cheering squad in history.

Opening the curtain for today's event at 2:00 pm will be the UP Varsity Pep Squad with their Christmas theme routine.

Judges, Scoring, and Performance Guidelines
According to UAAP Cheerdance Commissioner Paula Nunag, the competition will feature both internationally certified and local judges who will evaluate each squad’s skills in tumbling, pyramids, stunts, and tosses.
Dance judges will also score the performances to ensure every element of the routine is properly assessed.
Each squad will have five to six minutes to perform, with the timer starting the moment they step onto the blue mats.
“It’s five to six minutes, and everything can be happening all at the same time,” Nunag said. “We make sure that the judges see every bit of it.”
