Typhoon Tino intensifies; several areas under TCWS No. 3

MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Cyclone Tino (Kalmaegi) has strengthened into a typhoon, according to PAGASA’s 11:00 a.m. bulletin on Monday, November 3, 2025.

As of 10:00 a.m., the center of Typhoon Tino was located 285 kilometers east-southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 150 km/h, and a central pressure of 975 hPa.

It is moving west-southwestward at 25 km/h.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK

Typhoon Tino will move westward and may make landfall over the southern portion of Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, or Dinagat Islands tonight or early Tuesday, November 4.

It will cross the Visayas and northern Palawan before exiting to the West Philippine Sea by Wednesday afternoon, November 5.

Tino may reach its peak intensity near landfall with maximum sustained winds of up to 165 km/h and stronger gusts.

Rapid intensification remains possible within the next 24 hours, and the typhoon could reach the super typhoon category.

While slight weakening may occur after land interaction, Tino is forecast to remain a typhoon as it traverses the country.
