MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) have announced the suspension of classes on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, due to Super Typhoon Nando (Ragasa) and the enhanced southwest monsoon.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA's 11:00 PM update on Tuesday, Super Typhoon Nando maintains its strength as it continues to move west northwestward over the West Philippine Sea.
At 10:00 AM today, the center of the eye of Super Typhoon Nando was estimated based on all available data at 385 km West Northwest of Calayan, Cagayan or 425 km West of Basco, Batanes.
It has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 230 km/h, and central pressure of 925 hPa.

Track and Intensity Outlook
- Tropical Cyclone Nando is expected to move generally west-northwestward over the West Philippine Sea within the next 24 hours.
- It will then turn more westward while traversing the waters south of mainland China.
- Nando may make landfall over southern China by tomorrow evening or early Thursday morning (25 September).
