MANILA, Philippines – Classes on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, have been cancelled in several areas due to inclement weather conditions and flooding.
According to state weather bureau PAGASA, the Southwest Monsoon or habagat may bring heavy rainfall in Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Severe Tropical Storm "WIPHA" (formerly "CRISING") is still being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
At present, a tropical cyclone-like vortex (TCLV) has formed within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to PAGASA.
For the first week of the forecast period (July 21-27), a TCLV is expected to develop and move toward northern Taiwan. PAGASA stated there is a high likelihood that it will intensify into a tropical cyclone. This system will be named “Dante” once it becomes a tropical depression inside the PAR.
This list will be updated as soon as local or national authorities make their advisories.
LUZON
Malacañang has approved the suspension of classes in all levels and government work on Tuesday, July 22, in the following areas:
1. Metro Manila2. Zambales
3. Bataan
4. Pampanga
5. Bulacan
6. Cavite
7. Batangas
8. Rizal
9. Pangasinan
10. Tarlac
11. Occidental Mindoro
Government work in these areas is also suspended, except for agencies involved in the delivery of essential services.
As for the private sector, the suspension of work will be at the discretion of employers.

Automatic Class Suspension
