The Filipinos aim to carry the momentum from their dominant three-game sweep at the recent Alas Pilipinas Invitationals, where they triumphed over visiting squads from Indonesia, South Korea, and Thailand.
Alas Pilipinas will kick off its campaign against a tough opponent in Pakistan at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pakistanis are looking to bounce back from their runner-up finish in last year’s tournament, where they were swept by world No. 24 Qatar in the finals.
Alas will wrap up the elimination round against world No. 45 Chinese Taipei on June 18 at 7 p.m.
The tournament doubles as a crucial qualifier for the 2026 Asian Volleyball Championship and forms part of the Philippines’ preparations for hosting the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship from September 12 to 28.
