About the ALS A&E

The ALS A&E Test is a paper and pencil test designed to measure the competencies and life skills of those who have neither attended nor finished elementary or secondary education in the formal school system.

This assessment will enable learners to obtain a certificate of completion at various exit points in basic education, which can be used to access further education, job promotion, entry into job training, and employment opportunities.

Accepted applicants were those at least 12 years old for the A&E Test elementary level and at least 16 years old for the A&E Test Junior High School on or before the examination day.
