MANILA, Philippines – A passer of the March 2025 Medical Technology (MedTech) licensure exam shared the heartbreak of nearly making it to the coveted Top 10. She calls herself the ‘Top 11ish’ of the batch, just missing the Top 10 spot by a 0.10 rating.

She nearly made it to the top 10. |
The young lady, whose name is withheld for privacy reasons, shared that when the board exam results were released, she eagerly searched for her name in the Top 10 list. She pored over the list several times to check and recheck whether her name was really on the list, and she must have missed seeing it in her excitement.
As she checked the list for the nth time, she finally accepted that she wasn’t able to make it to the roster of that board exam’s Top 10.
Later on, the young lady discovered that her rating had been quite high at 90.50, but she was 0.10 points away from the #10 rank.
For someone who tried her best to make it to the top, it was a heartbreaking experience. While she first chose to remain silent, crying over the matter in private, she later posted about it on Facebook. She explains that she felt a ‘lingering ache’ and broke down in tears due to the situation, but was also soon able to accept things as she ‘lifted her heart in praise of God.’
Yes, she wasn’t able to make it to the top 10 but, fortunately, she still passed the board exams. She’s now a registered medical technologist.
The young lady can also still proudly declare herself as the ‘Top 11’ even if that isn’t an official rank given by the PRC (Professional Regulation Commission).
And even if she didn’t make it to the official Top 10, many of her friends and even netizens congratulated and encouraged her with kind words.
One wrote, “Congratulations! falling short by a small margin doesn’t mean you didn't make it. it means you were among the best...your effort, discipline, and dedication brought you to the top, even if the title didn’t make it official. so proud of you....”
Congratulations to you, young lady!
