Rising to the top of the November 2022 Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE), Yalany Soliva has proven that dedication and hard work truly pay off.
Garnering the fourth spot nationwide, Soliva's achievement highlights not only her academic prowess but also her commitment to excellence in nursing, a profession that demands both intellect and compassion.

According to an interview by an entertainment site with Yalany, her first choice was actually to pursue medical technology. However, she was offered a scholarship at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, which led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which she successfully completed on May 28, 2022.
She said that reviewing and taking the board exam was not easy because it coincided with her clinical duties and requirements. She also admitted that she had no confidence that she would pass the board exam.
She said she doubted herself even more when the pandemic happened. During that time, she felt like she hadn't learned enough because they were attending classes online.
The pressure was further heightened by her responsibilities at home, as her mother is a single parent, and she also helped take care of her two younger siblings. Despite this, she is deeply grateful for having a support system, such as her family and friends, who helped her cope with the pressures of finishing college during the pandemic.
When she took the board exam, she admitted that she had no confidence in her ability to answer the questions, especially in NP2, which focused on Maternal and Child Nursing, and NP3, which covered Medical-Surgical Nursing.
So, when the results of the PNLE were released and she saw her name on the list, not just passing but being in the top 4, she was truly shocked and ended up crying with her mother out of joy.
