CPALE RESULTS: September-October 2023 CPA board exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The September-October 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam results, including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, are released online on Friday, October 6, 2023 or in four (4) working days after the last day of exam.

As announced, 2,740 out of 8,734 (31.37%) passed the exams.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the CPA licensure exam (CPALE) in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Palawan on September 30, October 1 and 2, 2023.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Date of Registration: November 28 - 29, December 1 and December 4 - 7, 2023

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC added.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

CPA board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

The 3-day examination covered the following subjects:

September 30: Management Advisory Services and Auditing

October 1: Taxation and Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions

October 2: Financial Accounting and Reporting and and Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1589 s. 2022, the target release of September-October 2023 CPA board exam results is on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 or in six (6) working days after the last day of exam.

However, results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor results starting Thursday, October 5 or in three (3) working days.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the May 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam, PRC announced results in five (5) working days. A total of 2,239 out of 7,376 successfully passed the exams. Alexander Salvador Centino Bandiola Jr. from University of the Cordilleras led the passers with 89.50%.

In the October 2022 CPA board exam, PRC released results in eight (8) working days. A total of 1,722 out of 6,665 hurled the grueling exam. Francis Matthew Nuñez Obligacion from University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the board with 91.00%.

In the May 2022 CPA board exam, PRC released results in six (6) working days. Only 990 out of 4,442 passed the exams. Jhoone Cyrelle dela Cruz Nacario from UST aced the board with 88.83%.

In the December 2021 CPALE, PRC announced results after seven (7) working days. The agency named 318 out of 1,454 (21.87%) who passed the exams. PRC did not release list of topnotchers.

In the October 2021 CPALE, PRC announced results in five (5) working days. Only 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) passed the exams. PRC did not release list of topnotchers.

In the October 2019 exams, PRC released results in 6 working days. The agency named 2,075 out of 14,492 (only 14.32%) who passed the exams. Justine Louie Bautista Santiago, also from UST topped the board with 90.33%.
