It can be recalled that Brenda earned the ire of many viewers when he was seen making harsh and inappropriate remarks to his fellow housemates, Alexa Ilacad and Ian Rances in PBB Kumunity Season 10 celebrity edition. Many fans and supporters called out Brenda for being a "marites" or rumormonger. He ended up as the 5th Big Place Winner in the reality show.

The TV host directly asked Brenda if he regretted joining PBB and Brenda replied, "Yes."

Brenda recalled that he had long wished to be a PBB housemate. He said that he couldn’t believe he was able to accomplish that dream.

Since 2010 nag-audition ako [sa PBB] four times na, pang-five ‘yung last year tapos ngayon lang ako nakuha tapos sa celebrity pa ako nalagay,” he said.

However, his experience inside the PBB house made him realize that sometimes achieving our dreams will not make you feel happy. He soon realized that it’s better not to strive for something that’s not meant to be. It was a lesson for him to learn humility and appreciate his achievements instead of asking for more.

Thank you, Lord ibinigay mo sa akin.’

But since everything has been said and done, Brenda said his only wish is for people to forget his mistakes. He admitted that he has learned and is trying to change himself for the better.

Karen tried to ask Brenda why people seem to misunderstand him, saying that while he looks tough on the outside, he seems nice and soft-hearted.

Brenda defended himself saying that his friends and people close to him know how kind he is. Kaya nga kung selfish akong tao or pangit ang ugali ko, hindi ako mamahalin ng mga tao dito or yung mga kasama ko dito,” he explained.

Following his PBB stint, Brenda announced he’s taking a break away from showbiz and returning to his hometown in Mindanao.
