Rumors are circulating that Vice will soon follow the steps of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz in moving to the Kapuso network. The speculations came after Vice was spotted with GMA director Edgar ‘Bobot’ Mortiz. Direk Bobot used to direct ABS-CBN’s ‘Goin Bulilit’ before moving to the Kapuso network. He’s now working with John Lloyd in GMA’s sitcom ‘Happy ToGeTher.’

Netizens are buzzing if Vice will soon join John Lloyd in the sitcom or have his own show in replacement to Willie Revillame’s Wowowin timeslot.

Ogie Diaz, a close friend of Vice and his former manager, confirmed that the meeting between Vice and Direk Bobot occurred. He said he could only confirm that the two were talking about a show abroad but didn't know any other details.

Adding fuel to the fire, netizens also noticed that Vice was absent during the birthday celebration of ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes. Also, Vice isn’t included in the judges of Idol Philippines anymore.

According to Ogie, he talked with Vice about the network transfer rumors. He shared Vice’s reaction to the speculations.

“Nakausap ko si Vice Ganda over the phone…

Vice was referring to his Star Cinema movies being shown in GMA. As a content creator, ABS-CBN gives rights to network channels such as GMA and TV5 to air some of their films.

“So ganun pa rin naman. Kahit di ka lumipat, yung mukha mo nakikita pa rin doon,” Ogie said.

On the issue of being an Idol Philippines judge, Ogie revealed that Vice was initially part of the list along with Sarah Geronimo and Regine. Vice was really thrilled to be working with Sarah since their last show together was when Vice was just a sidekick to Sarah’s movie with Judy Ann Santos.

So when Sarah backed out from the show, Vice was really disappointed. He decided to turn down the offer and recommended Chito of Parokya ni Edgar instead.

Earlier, Vice told Ogie Alcasid on It’s Showtime that he used to dream of being on GMA’s Bubble Gang. He said, “Ewan ko. Di naman ako nakapag-guest doon. Alam mo, dati, lagi akong guest sa ‘Idol Ko si Kap,’ pero diyan, di ako nakapag-guest. Dream ko iyan dati, ‘yung Bubble Gang.”

Fans of Vice are now eagerly awaiting any updates or statements from the comedian himself.
