MANILA, Philippines – The guessing game is over as Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte filed on Saturday her certificate of candidacy (COC) for vice president under Lakas-CMD.
Duterte-Carpio substituted Lakas-CMD's Lyle Uy, filing documents through her representative former Presidential Commission on Good Government acting chair Reynold Munsayac, two days before the deadline for substitution of election aspirants.
The daughter of president Rodrigo Duterte dropped her reelection bid for Davao City mayor on Tuesday. A day after, she resigned from her regional party list, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) and on Thursday, she joined Lakas-CMD, the political party of former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Bongbong Marcos party takes Sara in
In a resolution released November 13, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) adopted Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio as their vice presidential candidate.
This is accompanied by her endorsement as running mate of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
