Moreno didn't mince his words as he called out Robredo's earlier statement. Robredo revealed that the mayor's stand on the Marcos family was the push she needed for her to decide to run for president.

"I don't want to go into details, pero sa akin merong mga non-negotiables and yung mga Marcos, non-negotiable yun sa akin," Robredo said.

Earlier, Moreno admitted that he regarded the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos as a visionary "at some point." However, he clarified that he is opposed to the abuses that occur during martial law.

Because of this controversy, Moreno spoke up to make his stand clear and answer Robredo's statement against him. He also questioned Robredo's motivation in running for president.

Moreno asked.

He continued that his administration would prioritize Filipinos over "three-decade fights among political families."

Robredo also expressed her dismay for not being able to unite the candidates who do not represent the administration. Moreno answered this by criticizing Robredo's decision to run independently and not under the banner of Liberal Party, of which she is the chairperson.

"You cannot talk of unity when you yourself hindi mo nga ma-unify sarili mong party. You're not even proud of your party. Kung kayang mong iwan ang mga kasama mo [sa partido], paano pa kaya kaming 110 million Filipinos?" he said.

Referring to Robredo changing campaign color from yellow to pink, Moreno commented, "Wag kayong malilinlang sa pagpapalitan ng kulay... A fake leader with a fake color is a fake character."

Moreno also reacted to the hashtag #WithdrawIsko" calling for him to withdraw his presidential bid and become Robredo's Vice president instead.
