    Magnitude 6.6 earthquake shakes Luzon, Metro Manila on July 24, 2021

    MANILA, Philippines – Lindol alert! The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 6.6 earthquake that shook parts of Luzon including Metro Manila and portion of Visayas early Saturday, July 24, 2021.

    The exact time of occurrence was recorded at 04:48 with epicenter near Calatagan, Batangas.

    The earthquake that occurred has a tectonic origin with 123 km depth of focus.

    • Magnitude 2.5 at 5:16 AM
    • Magnitude 2.5 at 5:21 AM
    • Magnitude 2.1 at 5:23 AM
    • Magnitude 2.0 at 5:44 AM

    Netizens said they felt the tremor in Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales and Metro Manila.
