Bettor wins P49.7-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – A bettor from San Fernando, La Union won the Php 49.7 million jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 draw on Thursday, September 3, 2020, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced.

The PCSO said the bettor used the winning combination of 03-11-06-19-33-10 to snag the jackpot prize.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, Php 9,941,465.36 would be deducted from the winnings.

The lucky bettor must go to PCSO's main office in Madaluyong City and present two IDs to collect his/her prize.

The lucky bettor is the first lotto winner after 5-month suspension of PCSO operations due to community quarantine restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19.

PCSO general manager Royina Garma said 32 other bettors won Php 24,000 each for guessing five of the winning numbers.

The jackpot prize for Lotto 6/42 was last won in February this year. A bettor from Tagum City bagged P36.6 million.

The 6/42 Regular Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, there were no winner in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw with jackpot prize of Php 50.5 million on Thursday.

The jackpot prize for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 already reached a whopping Php 335 million for Friday, September 4 draw.

Lotto operations resumed on August 4 in areas under general community quarantine and modified GCQ.
