PRC postpones August 2020 Medtech board exam

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Sunday the suspension of August 30-31, 2020 Medical Technologist (Medtech) board exam due to the prevailing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

PRC specifically cited government imposed restrictions and other unforeseeable circumstances because of modified community quarantines.

The postponement of exam is to ensure as well the health and safety of the examinees, Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) and examination personnel, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

On May 8, PRC announced the new schedule of Medtech board exam and other postponed board exam from March to June 2020. READ: LIST: New schedule of postponed March-June 2020 board exam bared

The new development also cancels the ongoing filing of online application, which was set until July 30.

Note that other scheduled board exams in August were also postponed as announced on May 31.

For those asking for the new schedule of affected PRC board exams due to COVID-19 crisis, PRC said that they will announce the information on their website and social media accounts.

"Announcement on the new schedules of the affected licensure examinations will be posted on the PRC website and/or PRC social media accounts," the agency said.
