MMDA Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago said in a statement that the agency will verify if there's a violation committed by the ABS-CBN star.

Pialago said, "We have so many problems that should be addressed and for the meantime, this is our reaction to the issue concerning actress Miss Kim Chiu. We will verify the truth about the report. We will check if this video of Miss Kim Chiu really happened in EDSA. We will invite her to explain her side then we will act accordingly.”

There were two recent videos shared online with Chiu dancing her viral song. One was of her wearing a face mask with her friend Angelica Panganiban at the back in what looks like a restaurant.

The second video showed Chiu dancing beside her parked black car. While the location was not identified, vehicles can visibly be seen moving in the background.

In her defense, Chiu clarified that the video was not taken along the busy street of EDSA but in a parking lot.

She said, "Thank you for supporting the shirt for a cause and sa nagpapakalat ng fake news na sa edsa ako sumayaw, hello?!!! Okay ka lang??? Bakit ako sasayw sa gitna ng edsa. Takot ko lang. DYOS KO. Please stop spreading FAKE NEWS. Please lang.”

She also tagged Panganiban to confirm that they were in a parking lot of a restaurant.
“Moms @iamangelicap sa edsa daw yung PARKING LOT ng tipsy pig?... kaya pa ba? Ikaw na nagdeliver ng merchandise, ikaw pa pagbibintangan ng fake news... hay.... life.."

"Hindi po biro magbenta ng merch, first time kong ginawa to pero okay lang I know this is for a good cause. let’s spread love not hate. COVID ANG KALABAN NATIN, HINDI ANG KAPWA TAO. please lang, stop spreading fake news," she added.
