In Isabela, a school decided to continue with their graduation rites through a mobile house-to-house ceremony.
Cauayan East Central School in Isabela has earned the attention of netizens for their creative and unique way of pushing through with a graduation ceremony.
Amid the strict social distancing protocols and prohibition of mass gathering, the school did not want their learners to miss out on what is supposed to be a memorable event in their life and pushed through with a ceremony.
Instead of gathering the parents and graduates for the ceremony, the school conducted a mobile graduation ceremony wherein they visited the homes of their graduates so they can receive their certificates and awards.
They set up an improvised stage at the back of a truck as school officials greeted the graduates and their parents. The school officials, parents and graduates all practiced social distancing and wore face masks following the health advisories.
On Facebook, Marvin Tuquib Alicaycay, shares photos of the unique graduation ceremony. He said, "The Cauayan East Central School Mobile Graduation Ceremony. Unusual awarding but same emotions. Congratulations batch 2019-2020."
Many netizens shared how impressed they were with the school's efforts for their graduates. A netizen said, "Nice idea. I salute the school for the effort."
Another shared how this idea would really work well especially for areas with no COVID-19 cases at all.
Isabela is considered a "moderate risk" province and currently under general community quarantine (GCQ).
