MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte will decide on the fate of the Luzon-wide lockdown on Thursday, April 23, his long-time aide Senator Bong Go said Tuesday.
Go added that there's a possibility that the enhanced community quarantine will be modified.
Ipupulong niya ulit 'yung ilang miyembro ng ating inter-agency task force," Go said in an interview with DZMM.
The lawmaker said the president will meet again with the COVID-19 task force to get their insights on government's plan to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The ECQ imposed in Luzon, which was supposed to end on April 13, was recently extended until April 30.
Go said on Sunday, referring to the need to strictly implement the existing guidelines imposed by the government at this time.
As of Tuesday, the DOH reported 6,599 total confirmed cases in the country, with 437 deaths and 654 recoveries.
