CHED Scholarship Program online applications for SY 2020-2021 updated links

    MANILA, Philippines – (Updated) The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) opened Sunday, March 1, the online applications for School Year (SY) 2020-2021 scholarship program (CSP). A total of 2,467 slots are available for grabs.     UPDATE: CHED says no new scholars this year due to budget cuts

    CHED under Republic Act No. 7722 has the mandate to provide financial assistance through scholarships to qualified and deserving students, preferably the following:
    • Underprivileged and Homeless Citizens under RA No. 7279
    • Persons with Disability (PWDs) under RA No. 7277 as amended
    • Solo Parents and/or their Dependents under RA 8972
    • Senior Citizens under RA 9994
    • Indigenous Peoples under RA 8371

    The Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs) is one of the major programs of the Commission on Higher Education to increase the number of graduates in colleges and universities offering programs crucial to the development of a strong and vibrant Philippine economy. The StuFAPs is primarily a financial assistance given to poor but deserving students," CHED's statement reads.

    Financial Benefit Package per Academic Year:


    The assistance program has two types, the State Scholarship Program (SLP) under RA No. 10931 or the "Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act" and the Private Education Student Financial Assistance Program (PESFA). Scholar will receive full package of 40,000.00 for SLP and 60,000.00 for PESFA.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Who may apply?

    Citizenship: Filipino Citizen

    Academic: Graduating High School or High School Graduate whose General Weighted Average (GWA) is 90% above or its equivalent

    Financial: Combined annual gross income of parent/s or guardian is not more than Php 400,000.00

    Programs: Students should enroll in any of the priority courses identified by CHED

    1. Determine the region where your Senior High School is located.
    2. Click on the link of the corresponding CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO) below.
    3. Follow the regional instructions.

    NOTE: You will need to accomplish the CHED Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs) Online Application Form according to your selected region.
