Pomoy was named one of the grand finalists of 'America’s Got Talent: The Champions' after his impressive semi-finals performance aired Monday night (Tuesday in Manila).

The grand winner of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011 showed off his vocal prowess, performing Andrea Bocelli's “Con Te Partirò” (Time to Say Goodbye). He sang the soprano (in falsetto) and tenor parts so beautifully that the judges mostly agreed he could win this special edition of the show!

Although Simon Cowell told him he might have to step up the game if he wants to truly wow in the Finals because the surprise factor won’t help him by then, the picky judge still admitted that he was impressed by his performance.

Judge Howie Mandel believes that Pomoy "has the best shot of winning this whole thing."

"The woman in you was just as good as she was the last time. But you as a man, you went up a notch. She tried to stay up with you but she couldn’t,” Mandel added.

Heidi Klum, for her part, admitted that she’s been waiting for Pomoy to take the stage because he is her favorite.

Other artists who also advanced to the grand finals next week were Hans, Tyler Butler-Figueroa, Alexa Lauenburger, Sandou Trio Russian Bar and Duo Transcend. They will compete with golden buzzer acts Angelina Jordan, Boogie Storm, V. Unbeatable and Silhouettes.
