MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 4.2 earthquake that shook parts of Batangas on Sunday evening, January 19, 2020.
Magnitude 4.2 earthquake shakes Mabini, Batangas

The exact time of occurrence of the quake was recorded at 8:59 PM with epicenter at 13.74N, 120.90E - 005 km S 68° W of Mabini, Batangas.

The earthquake has a tectonic origin with 12 km depth of focus.

The quake was felt at Intensity I in Tagaytay City.

Phivolcs is not expecting damage or aftershocks from the quake.
