MANILA, Philippines – Classes have been suspended in several areas today, December 2, 2019 due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon 'Tisoy' (Kammuri).

In the 5:00 a.m bulletin on Monday, state weather bureau PAGASA said that 'Bagyong Tisoy' has slightly intensified as it heads westward. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 is now in effect over Catanduanes.

At 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Typhoon 'Tisoy' was located based on all available data at 355 km East of Virac, Catanduanes. It has maximum sustained winds of up to 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h. 'Tisoy' is moving West at 20 km/h.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes in the tertiary level especially in the private institutions will be at discretion of school administrators.
