Dr. Maria Theresa Pelones, dean of the College of Education of MSU-General Santos was also "amazed" with the impressive feat, which was a first in the university.

"This is the first in our history. Previously we only produced up to three topnotchers but now it’s totally different. It’s really amazing," Pelones said.

The college dean also shared that the success of their graduates was due to the collaborative efforts of their administrators, their faculty, partner review centers and of course, the determination of their students.

Pelones said their graduates were given the challenge not just to pass the exam but aim to become topnotchers.

"They took that challenge and we saw that they were really determined to achieve it. Eighty percent of this (achievement) was really from the effort of our students,” she said.

For top 1, Joshua Canseco, a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) graduate, was among the three who tied in the top spot. He earned a rating of 92.60 percent. Novalyn Barte took the second top place with a rating of 91.60 percent.
