MANILA, Philippines – The Meralco Bolts prolonged the series as they handled TNT Katropa, 114-94 and levelled the series to 1-all in Game 2 of their best-of-five 2019 Governors’ Cup semis on Tuesday, December 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Meralco Bolts import Allen Durham led his team with a PBA-rare triple-double, 44 points and 19 rebounds and 11 assists to tie the series at 1 apiece.

His counterpart, TNT Katropa KJ McDaniels started slow but still finished with 51 markers and 9 boards.

Aside from Durham, Chris Newsome and Baser Amer were both in double-digits as well while rookie Kier John Quinto played his biggest game by far with 12 points.

Despite McDaniel’s usual humongous numbers, TNT’s 17 turnovers hurt them a lot plus RR Pogoy’s subpar performance.

Pogoy wasn’t able to record a point in 32 minutes of playing time which he blamed on his existing back injury.

TNT came back in the 2nd half and made a great run. But it was too late and Meralco’s advantage was too big to downsize.
