This will be the first SEA Games opening ceremony to be held in an indoor venue.

Floy Quintos, director of the opening production, said spectators can expect a world-class performance that will highlight Filipino talent, craftsmanship and values while delivering a message of unity and inclusivity among Southeast Asians.

"We saw the SEA Games Opening Ceremony as chance to showcase aspects of our culture that many modern Filipinos know little about or take for granted, buried under our own divisive neglect and lack of concern," Quintos shared in a lengthy Facebook post.

Broadcast partner ABS-CBN Channel 2 got the exclusive airing of the opening ceremonies, starting 6:50 pm, with livestreaming on iWant and online, and replay on S+A at 10 pm.

Show will start at 7:00 p.m. and expected to finish around 8:30 p.m. (an hour-and-half). There will be a pre-show at 5:00 p.m.

According to the organizers, livestream video will be available as well via 2019 SEA Games Facebook page.

"Live coverage of the Opening Ceremony will be provided by our official broadcast partner, ABS-CBN, as well as through our livestream via our Facebook Page at 6:50PM. #2019SEAGames #WeWinAsOne #PHforOne."

Quintos is working with National Artist for Music and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, US-based, Emmy-award winning live content creator FiveCurrents, and Filipino companies Video Sonic and Stage Craft International Inc.

FiveCurrents, which has won 14 Emmy Awards, is the live content creators that produced the London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
