Mannny Pacquiao wins, clinches Keith Thurman’s WBA “super” welterweight title

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing icon Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao earned another victory clinching Keith “One Time” Thurman’s WBA “super” welterweight title on Saturday, July 20 (Sunday, July 21, Manila time) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 30-year-old Thurman suffered his first loss in the hands of the veteran boxing icon.
The eight-division boxing world champion Pacquiao scored split decision win over Thurman with scores of 115-112, 115-112, 113-114 to win the WBA super welterweight belt.

"He was not an easy opponent. He was really strong...I did my best to make the people happy," Pacquiao said in an interview.
Pacquiao, 40, proved that age is just a number as he showcased his strength and speed against the younger, dangerous and former undefeated American fighter.
The fighting senator from Sarangani improves to 62-7-2 in his professional boxing career.
