MANILA, Philippines – The official results of the 2018 bar exam are out this Friday, May 3.

The confirmation was shared in a Twitter post by Supreme Court on Wednesday, May 1.

"The results of the 2018 Bar Exams will be released this Friday, May 3, 2019, after approval by the Supreme Court En Banc in a special session, per Bar Chair SC Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo."

The 117th bar exam was conducted on four Sundays of November 2018 to a total of 8,156 aspiring lawyers.

The 2018 bar exam is composed of eight (8) subjects: Political Law and Public International Law (15%), Labor and Social Legislation (10%), Civil Law (15%), Taxation (10%), Mercantile Law (15%), Criminal Law (10%), Remedial Law (20%) and Legal and Judicial Ethics (5%).

The Philippine bar examinations, dubbed as the most prestigious professional licensure exam in the country for aspiring lawyers, is the only professional exam not handled by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). It is exclusively supervised by the Supreme Court.
