But not everyone has the chance to get their work known to others for them to earn money. There are a number of artists who are good at their craft but were not able to make a name for themselves due to lack of opportunity; some due to lack of money.

An old beggar went viral for his impressive talent. It amazed a lot of netizens how the old man could draw so beautifully.

Lealei Bernadette Arios Piano shared photos of the old beggar after she saw him drawing on the pavement at the Overpass outside Fairview Central Mall (FCM). Using what appears to be a piece of charcoal people use for cooking, the old beggar began to draw his masterpiece on the pavement.

Although the artwork looked stunning and would have been fit to be put on display in homes, even in public buildings, it was only limited to that overpass. The ground was this old man’s medium.

He could not afford to buy a canvas or even paper; he could not also buy proper art materials to use in his drawings yet the charcoal and the pavement were enough to show the people his masterpiece!

Impressed by the old man’s drawing, Lealei took some photos to share these with the rest of the world. At the time, he might only be getting a few coins for his street art but a lot of netizens hoped that this old man would receive help in getting his art shared with the world. In this way, he will be able to earn more money.

Instead of waiting for people to give him alms or asking for leftover food and scavenging in trash bins, his art just might bring this old man out of poverty!
