MANILA, Philippines – Regine Velasquez is set to join ABS-CBN's biggest stars to an ASAP show in Sydney, Australia.
The Asia's Songbird finally confirmed the rumors of a network transfer as she posted on her Instagram a teaser of the Kapamilya show on October 20 at the ICC Sydney Theatre. Regine will be joining other ABS-CBN stars including her husband, Ogie Alcasid who joined ABS-CBN back in 2016. Regine only added a short message saying, “See you guys in Sydney. #ASAPinSydney”

In a statement released by ABS-CBN, they were excited to welcome Regine as a “special guest for the highly anticipated TFC event.” They also added, “This marks the first time that the best-selling OPM artist of all time will be part of an ASAP live overseas.”
According to sources, Regine is expected to host a few ABS-CBN shows including being a judge on The Voice Philippines alongside Sharon Cuneta, Bamboo and Lea Salonga.
Regine’s contract with GMA already expired back in September. Her show “Sarap Diva” is already being revamped to “Sarap Di Ba?” with hosts Carmina Villarroel and her twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi.
During the ABS-CBN Ball, rumors of Regine’s transfer became stronger as she posed with ABS-CBN executives and even with former GMA stars who transferred to ABS-CBN Jaya, Janno Gibbs, Richard Gutierrez.
Regine is currently in the United States for a concert tour with Ogie. Ogie also posted the same photo on his Instagram saying how excited he is and wishing his wife “God bless.” He had earlier shared how excited he is for what’s ahead for his wife. The OPM singer said, “Whatever it is that’s going to happen, I’m always very excited for her, so there’s nothing yet, but kung ano man ang naririnig niyo, it’s all very exciting.”
