What many do not know, however, is that too much use of gadgets can be harmful to one’s health.

Edgar Lising of Gapan, Nueva Ecija, shared heartbreaking photos and videos of his son, Nathan, who is now suffering focal seizures due to too much exposure to gadgets.

Last July 26, Edgar and his wife Judee rushed Nathan to the hospital when he started having seizures on his face. His eyes and mouth would move on their own, and the kid was in visible discomfort over his condition.

He later shared some videos and photos of his son on Facebook, asking for prayers.

“LORD Pagalingin NYO na po anak ko....Pls help us to pray for the fast recovery of my son....his suffering from FOCAL SEIZURE caused by excessive use of gadgets....” Edgar wrote.

The 6-year-old Nathan underwent various tests, including CT SCAN and EEG but though the results were normal, the focal seizures did not stop.

Though they were discharged last July 27, the child’s condition did not improve even with medications as well as home care suggestions from well-meaning netizens.

Fearing that the child’s condition might worsen and that he will never stop having those seizures, Edgar decided to bring Nathan to Manila where there are better hospitals that might have the means and technology to save the boy.

Unsure yet of where to bring Nathan, Edgar asked netizens for help in hospital suggestions even as they were already on their way to Manila. Several hospitals were suggested but the family eventually settled for St. Luke’s Medical Center.

As of press time, Nathan is still confined at St. Luke’s and still experiencing focal seizures but the family and many netizens are hoping for his quick recovery.

Get well soon, kid!
