MANILA, Philippines – Classes have been suspended in several areas for Thursday, July 19, 2018 due to southwest monsoon enhanced by Bagyong Inday.

In a weather bulletin released at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said that Habagat will bring intermittent moderate to occasional heavy monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga and Bulacan.

Weather central added: "Scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains is expected over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna and the rest of Central Luzon until Friday (July 20)."

'Bagyong Inday' has intensifed into a Tropical Storm as it continues to move northeastward, PAGASA announced.

No tropical cyclone warning signal raised as of press time.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes in the tertiary level especially in the private institutions will be at discretion of school administrators.
