MANILA, Philippines – Local government units (LGUs) and schools declared suspension of classes for today, June 14, 2018, due to inclement weather condition brought by Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In a regional forecast issued at 5:00 am Thursday, state weather bureau PAGASA said that Metro Manila and nearby areas will experience monsoon rains. "Light to strong winds blowing from southwest will prevail and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, while rough to very rough over Zambales and Bataan."

Based on automatic class suspension guideline by DepEd, LGUs have the authority to declare local suspensions in areas where there is no storm signal.
