#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on Monday, June 11, 2018

MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) announced suspension of classes for Monday, June 11, 2018, due to bad weather condition brought by Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Typhoon Domeng, which is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

In a bulletin issued on Sunday morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said that Habagat will continue bringing monsoon rains over Luzon, especially over the western section, until early next week.

"The public is advised to continue monitoring for updates, take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides, and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices," PAGASA aded.

  • Caloocan – All levels, public and private
  • Las Piñas – All levels, public and private
  • Malabon – All levels, public and private
  • Mandaluyong – All levels, public and private
  • Manila – All levels, public and private
  • Marikina – All levels, public and private
  • Muntinlupa – All levels, public and private
  • Navotas – All levels, public and private
  • Parañaque – All levels, public and private
  • Pasay – All levels, public and private
  • Pasig – All levels, public and private
  • Pateros – All levels, public and private
  • Quezon City – All levels, public and private
  • San Juan – All levels, public and private
  • Taguig – pre-school to senior high school, public and private
  • Valenzuela – All levels, public and private

Based on automatic class suspension guideline by DepEd, LGUs have the authority to declare local suspensions in areas where there is no storm signal.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes in the tertiary level especially in the private institutions will be at discretion of school administrators.
