Teenagers Go Viral for ‘Hypebeast to Nanay Outfit’, But Netizens Slam Gorgeous Lady for Post

When Alyssa Santos saw a photo of some teen boys wearing floral-printed dusters that are often identified as ‘nanay outfits’ in the Philippines, she had a good laugh at it that she reposted the picture with the corresponding witty caption on her Facebook account.

Little did she know that her post would go viral and that she would be on the receiving end of much hate comments and bashing from people who thought she was bullying the group for their outfits.

Alyssa wrote:

“Di ko kinaya to. 😂😂😂 pagkatapos ng Hypebeast, NANAY OUTFIT NAMAN NGAYON. Anung ginagawa mu? Naka backless ka pa HAHAHAHAHAHA

ctto”

But many people missed the ‘ctto’ part which actually means ‘credits to the owner’. This simply means that Alyssa did not take the photo but had just reposted it because she was amused.

Still, reposted or not, many people slammed Alyssa for cyberbullying. A lot of netizens thought that she was making fun of these teens.

Someone even wrote a rather lengthy explanation as to why he thinks this is cyberbullying:

“This is an example of irresponsible post. Kung yan man ang kaligayahan nila, let them be. Mabilis naman i-ignore mga yan eh. Wag nalang pansinin. Buhay nila yan.

But as the post had gone viral, the guys in the photo had reached out to Alyssa (they call her Ate Alyssa) and assured her they were fine with her sharing their photos. In fact, the group was amused that the post had gone viral.

But if the group did not consent to her posting the photos, do you think this actually amounts to cyberbullying?
