LIVE UPDATES: SC releases 2017 bar exam results today

MANILA, Philippines - The November 2017 bar exam results will be released expected from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. today, April 26, 2018 after the special en banc session of the Supreme Court (SC). The live updates and link to the full list of passers and topnotchers are available on this page.

LIVE UPDATES: SC releases 2017 bar exam results today

The results will be deliberated today and will be released only after SC approved the recommendation of 2017 Bar exams Committee Chairman Associate Justice Lucas Bersamin.

"#BAR2017 results will be released today after a special en Banc session. AJ Lucas P. Bersamin will officially announce the results after the session. List of successful examinees will be uploaded to the SC website and flashed on a monitor at the SC quadrangle.," SC confirmed in a tweet.

A total of 7,227 were admitted to take but after first Sunday, only 6,759 remained and on the last two Sundays, there are only 6,750 examinees (still higher than 2016).

12:39 pm: Supreme Court now allowing people to enter SC quadrangle to watch the announcement of #BAR2017 results.

11:19 am: #BAR2017 exam first place got 91.05% rating; tenth place got 88.4%.

11:06 am: Source: 1,724 (25.55%) passed the #BAR2017. Passing grade at 75%!

10:19 am: #BAR2017 results will be officially announced by Justice Lucas P. Bersamin at or about 1:15 p.m. today at the SC quadrangle | via @SCPh_PIO.

9:35 am: SC is almost all-set in the much-awaited release of bar exam results today. An LED screen has been installed ready to flash the list of passers.

In the special en banc session, 'decoding of bar exam results' will be done. Decoding is the process where the SC orders the Office of the Bar Confidant to open the sealed envelopes with the names of the candidates who successfully passed the exams.

Note: The full list of successful bar examinees will be flashed also on a widescreen at the SC front yard and simultaneously be viewed at the official website of the highest court.

The Philippine Bar Examination is the professional licensure examination for lawyers in the Philippines and the only professional exam not handled by PRC.
