    List of Passers: Civil service exam results March 12, 2017 CSE-PPT

    MANILA, Philippines - (Updated April 27) Results are out! The March 12, 2017 civil service exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT ) to include list of passers and top 10 from more than 200,000 takers are officially released online on April 21, 2017.

    The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that a total of 219,697 takers tried to hurdle the first CSE-PPT this year in 60 testing centers nationwide. A total of 188,528 examinees or 85.81% took the professional level while 31,169 or 14.19% for the Sub-professional level.

    UPDATE: A total of 25,090 out of 219,697 (11.42%) passed the March 2017 civil service exam - 21,640 for the professional level and 3,450 for the sub-professional level.

    CSC added that for both levels of examinations, passing rate is 80%. Passers will be eligible for the first and second level positions in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions (education, experience, and training).

    Bulk of examinees for March 2017 civil service exam came from the National Capital Region (NCR), 32,371, or 14.73% of the total takers nationwide. It is followed by Southern Tagalog (Region IV) with 32,654 examinees or 14.15%. The third highest number of examinees was recorded in Central Luzon (Region III) with 15,703 examinees.

    UPDATE: NCR has 19.09% passing rate ( 6,180 examinees passed on respective eligibility exam).

    Other regions of the country with considerable turnout of examinees include Western Visayas (Region VI) with 15,626 examinees; Bicol (Region V), 15,351; and SOCCSKSARGEN (Region XII), 14,227.


    MARCH 2017 CSE-PPT RELEASE OF RESULTS

    The CSC said that exam result will be released within 41 days after the examination through posting the list of passers in the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph.

    Official results can be expected from April 17 (Monday) to April 22 (Saturday or 41 calendar days after the exam).

    April 21, 2017 Update: CSC told The Summit Express that transmittal of results to the main office is still ongoing. Once completed, CSC IT to upload results on CSC website (csc.gov.ph). March 2017 civil service exam results are possible to be released by tomorrow, April 22 (41 days) once the process is completed or as advised, the most definite date is on Monday, April 24 ( or early next week).

    April 21, 2017 Update: Results are out!

    PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

    In April 2016 examination, results were released online in 39 calendar days. A total of 25,276 out of 229,463 passed the exam or 11%.

    In October 2016, results were out exactly 41 days. Same passing percentage can be observed, around 11%.

    For March 2017, CSE-PPT takers may expect of the same percentage of passers, around 25,000 out of more than 230,000 examinees.

    GENERATION OF TEST RESULTS

    Takers, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the OnlineCivil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website. Note: The date of OCSERGS availability will be posted here soon but you may expect approximately 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

    Those who will pass should coordinate and verify with the CSC Regional Office concerned the availability of their Certification of Eligibility (CoE) and the requirements in claiming it. A complete directory of the CSC Regional Offices is available at the CSC website. Passers must personally claim their CoE. Representatives are not allowed to claim the same. Claiming of CoE shall be available approximately 30 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

    A corresponding Advisory on these matters shall be posted in the CSC website. Any other concerns on examination result including verification of examinee number, examinees are advised to coordinate directly with the CSC Regional Office concerned. The CSC Regional Offices handle the releasing of examination results.

    CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE

    The Career Service Professional and Sub-professional examinations are general ability tests designed to measure an individual's preparedness to enter government service.

    The Professional level exam covers vocabulary; grammar and correct usage; paragraph organization; reading comprehension; analogy/logic (i.e., word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, data interpretation); and numerical reasoning (i.e., basic operations, word problems).

    Meanwhile, Sub-professional level also covers the same subject areas except for analogy/logic, in place of which is clerical operations (i.e., filing, spelling).

    NEXT CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION

    Those who have missed filing for March 2017 exam may get exam on second CSE-PPT this year, which is set on August 6. The period for filing of applications will run from April 3 to June 2. View complete details here.
