UPDATED LIST: Class suspensions for Monday, December 8, 2014 | #WalangPasok

MANILA, Philippines - Some local government units (LGUs) announced class suspensions for Monday, December 8, 2014 due to Typhoon Ruby (international name: Hagupit) that is expected to traverse the vicinity of Southern Luzon and Metro Manila in the next 48-72 hours. The advisories were released through social media as early on Saturday.

Earlier, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla announced on Twitter that there will be no classes in all levels on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9 due to Typhoon Ruby.


According to DepEd Philippines Facebook page, classes in pre-school to high school on December 8 are also suspended in the Region 4B: Palawan, Coron, Culion and Busuanga.

  • Albay - Governor Joey Salceda announced
  • Bataan - classes in all levels
  • Bohol - classes in all levels
  • Bulacan - classes in all levels
  • Batangas - special non-working day in the province
  • Capiz 
  • Cavite - classes in all levels from December 8 to December 9
  • Camarines Sur - classes in all levels
  • Camarines Norte - classes in all levels
  • Laguna - classes in all levels
  • Oriental Mindoro - classes in all levels
  • Quezon - classes in all levels from December 8
  • Cebu - classes in all levels (the cities of Cebu and Lapu-lapu excluded since they are lone districts)
  • Rizal - Classes in all levels
  • Surigao Del Norte - classes in all levels

SCHOOLS
  • Adamson University: Classes and work 
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines: All Metro Manila campuses
