Manila, Philippines - Netizens were abuzzed over the alleged Paolo Bediones scandalous video, which is now trending and viral on social media. It started morning of July 27, 2014 and coincides with the centennial anniversary of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC).

Paolo Bediones, a muti-awarded television host, newscaster and radio announcer is part of the Kapatid Network or TV5 for some of its documentary and news programs such as Rescue 5, Demolition Job and Astig.

Bediones started his career as as commercial model and later transitioned to television hosting. He is best known for hosting GMA Network's Extra Challenge and Survivor Philippines.

On the third week of July this year, a news already broke online but not that viral. As written on Bandera. inquirer, a blogger says that Paolo admitted he once had this 'thing' with a female sexy star but said that video will not spread since they have destroyed the tape.

As of press time, 'Paolo Bediones' trends on micro-blogging site Twitter with netizens searching for the link of the 6-minute video and asking if the allegation is true or just a hoax.

July 27, 2014 2:00PM Update: Some netizens are now looking for the actions of the authority to investigate on the issue and stop spreading of the source video.

Authorities may arrest the violator/s as stated in Republic Act 9995 of the cybercrime law.

RA 9995 defines the act of “taking photo or video coverage of a person or group of persons performing se**al act or any similar activity or of capturing an image of the private area of a person or persons without the latter's consent, under circumstances in which such person/s has/have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or the act of selling, copying, reproducing, broadcasting, sharing, showing or exhibiting the photo or video coverage or recordings of such s***al act or similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and similar means or device without the written consent of the person/s involved, notwithstanding that consent to record or take photo or video coverage of same was given by such person/s.”

RA 9995 also disallows the copying or reproduction, selling or distributing, and publishing or broadcasting in print, broadcast and other means, of such files or materials. ]

Though Paolo Bediones already knew the issue, he is yet to give the official statement. On Sunday morning, he has tweeted: "Happy Sunday! :) for those who always wanna start something new on a Monday this is the tym [time] to prepare. Hope u make ur[your] dreams come true! :)."
