CLE/LEC RESULTS — The full results of the August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC), including the list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top-performing schools and performance of schools, were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 21 working days after the last day of examinations.

As announced, 16,952 out of 29,452 examinees (57.56%) passed the August 2026 LEC.

The passing rate was 6.11 percentage points higher than the 51.45% recorded in the August 2025 LEC, marking a notable improvement among recent second-scheduled LECs of the year.

Jeb Jobet Remolleno Gabriel of Polytechnic College of Davao del Sur topped the examination with a rating of 93.70%.

Meanwhile, Araullo University ranked first among schools with 200 or more examinees and at least an 80% passing percentage, with 298 out of 303 examinees (98.35%) passing.

The August 2026 passing rate also surpassed those recorded in recent second-scheduled LECs, including August 2025 (51.45%), July-August 2024 (49.34%), and August 2023 (32.68%).

The results of the examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The Commission conducted the second regular CLE this year on August 1, 2, and 3, 2026 across testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Mati, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Antique, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Lipa (Batangas), Nueva Vizcaya, Santiago City and Sablayan (Occidental Mindoro).

Release of Results

Update as of 10:00 AM, September 1, 2026: PRC confirmed that CLE results will be released today.

In a Facebook post, PRC shared: "Trust in your hard work—just a few more hours to go, and the wait will finally be over! The results of the August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC) will be released soon!"

Previous Update

According to PRC Resolution No. 2113 s. 2025, the August 2026 Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) results will be released on Friday, September 4, 2026, twenty-two (22) working days after the tests.

Registration and Oathtaking

PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for the new criminologists will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Date of Registration: Starting October 12, 2026

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • Screenshot of system-generated Registration Form;
  • valid government-issued ID;

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

Verification of Rating

The Criminology board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

Coverage of Examinations

The August 2026 Criminologist board exam covered the following subjects:

  • criminal law, jurisprudence and procedure and law enforcement administration (Day 1)
  • crime detection and investigation and forensic science (Day 2)
  • correctional administration and criminology (Day 3).

Previous Examinations

The Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) is one of the Professional Regulation Commission's (PRC) largest licensure examinations, consistently attracting tens of thousands of aspiring criminologists nationwide.

In the February 2026 CLE, the PRC released the results after twenty-six (26) working days. A total of 30,320 out of 45,936 examinees successfully passed the examination, translating to a 66.00% passing rate. Khim Erole Lawyan Batersal of Lanao School of Science and Technology topped the board with a rating of 93.05%. The University of Iloilo emerged as the top-performing school in the 200 or more examinees category, posting a 96.76% passing rate with 448 out of 463 passers.

In the August 2025 CLE, results were likewise released after twenty-six (26) working days. The PRC reported that 13,074 out of 25,410 examinees passed the examination, equivalent to a 51.45% passing rate. Stephanie Lucquiao Sajor of Araullo University–San Jose ranked first with a rating of 92.40%. Araullo University also topped the list of performing schools in the 200 or more examinees category, achieving a 92.80% passing rate with 348 out of 375 passers.

For the February 2025 CLE, the PRC announced the results after twenty (20) working days. A total of 22,245 out of 36,768 examinees passed the licensure examination, for a 60.50% passing rate. John Michael Bundalian Amio of Holy Angel University placed first with a rating of 92.20%. The University of Iloilo led the top-performing schools in the 200 or more examinees category after registering a 96.44% passing rate, with 271 out of 281 examinees passing.
